De dois em dois em dois anos a Câmara Municipal da Figueira da Foz, em colaboração com a Secção Regional do Centro da Ordem dos Arquitectos e Rotay Club da Figueira da Foz, premeia o projeto e obra de arquiteto(s), cuja singularidade e rigor construtivo
acrescentem valor patrimonial à cidade e ao Concelho.
José Isaías Cardoso foi um modernista que deixou na cidade obras inovadoras e rigorosas merecendo por isso tempo de lembrança e de consagração, razão de ser deste Prémio Bienal.
Este galardão é assim uma manifestação pública de agradecimento e de estimulo aos arquitetos vencedores esperando que o seu exemplo de profissionalismo e de particular interesse pela inovação estimule outros arquitetos a seguirem os valores do rigor, da procura e da sustentabilidade.

Every two years, the Municipality of Figueira da Foz, in collaboration with the Regional Section of the Centre of the Portuguese Architectural Order of Architects and the Rotay Club of Figueira da Foz, honours the project and work of architect(s), whose uniqueness and constructive rigour add heritage value to the city and the municipality.
José Isaías Cardoso was a modernist who left in the city innovative and rigorous works in the city, and therefore deserves time of time of remembrance and consecration, which is the reason for this Biennial Award.
This award is thus a public expression of gratitude and encouragement to the winning architects in the hope that their their example of professionalism and particular interest in innovation innovation will encourage other architects to follow the values of rigour, demand and sustainability.
